Recommended for: Camping near Lake Como.

Value for money: 2/5
For around $35 AU per couple per night for a tent spot and car parking, you can stay here. Across the road is Lake Como, where there’s a place to sun-bake and swim on small rocks. From the beach, the view of Lake Como is breath-taking. From inside the campground, you’re at the base of an awesome mountain, which is also beautiful. It’s a ten minute drive to Bellagio.

Cleanliness: 2.5/5

Facilities: 1.5/5
Wireless internet could be available, there’s a router on-site, but as of this post the owner won’t let you connect due to firewall issues. No market or restaurant, but the owner will give you beers and make you a snack from the small bar or courtyard area.

Location: 2/5
You are literally across the road from Lake Como, however, the campground is surrounded by bush fences, so you can’t see them unless you walk out. I hate to say this, but two kilometers down the road is an awesome campsite called Camping La Fornatta, which is literally right-on Lake Como. From inside your tent you can pee in the water. However, it’s half the size and nearly always full during July and August.
