I’m not exactly sure about the use of the word Paradise, but for $28 AU per couple per night with a car and a tent, this place in Taormina is okay. When we were there it was so bloody hot, but there’s a great restaurant looking out over the ocean and a mini-market.

There’s a restaurant looking out over the ocean and a mini-market. Power costs $7.50 per night, so make sure you don’t get power. What a bloody rip-off! No internet. The beach is covered in small-rocks, but I love that. It’s quite nice and deck-chairs are available. The surrounding mountains provide a harsh-edgy-looking setting.

I wouldn’t spend too long here. In fact, if you’ve got room in the budget, I would stay in a cheap hotel instead. I think you’ll get more out of Taormina.
